Job Summary

Catholic Health Physicians Practices is seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare exam rooms for use, ensuring a clean and organized environment for patients.
  • Prepares patient charts with pre-visit planning, reviewing schedules and identifying gaps in care.
  • Escorts patients to exam rooms, directing patient flow for maximum efficiency.
  • Collects and documents patient information, clinical data, and other relevant information.
  • Obtains additional data from patients/significant others, EKG/lab/diagnostic test results, and other historical data.
  • Reports findings to providers, recognizing abnormal findings or changes in condition.
  • Confirms and clarifies written orders prior to implementation of delegated tasks.
  • Collects, prepares, and processes laboratory specimens for on-site and remote-site testing.
  • Tracks and enters results in medical records, performing quality control for waived testing and log maintenance.
Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or 3+ years documented medical assistant experience and completion of the CH Medical Assistant Assessment.
  • BCLS training and current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Proficiency with care tasks such as phlebotomy, aseptic technique, etc.
