Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Support Specialist to join our team at TEKsystems. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Room patients and prepare them for medical procedures
  • Clean and maintain exam rooms to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Assist with instrument sterilization and preparation
  • Complete disability and FMLA forms accurately and efficiently
  • Process prescription requests and communicate with physicians
  • Prepare pre-op paperwork and ensure all necessary documents are completed
  • Coordinate with insurance providers for pre-auth and pre-certification of procedures
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with patients and staff
  • Assist with CT Scan setup and patient preparation
  • Order medical supplies and equipment as needed
  • Support surgery scheduling and coordination
  • Work closely with physicians and other medical staff to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a medical setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and computer software
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
