Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Nuvance Health. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and assume responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame.

Responsibilities
  • Perform ongoing and systematic assessments of patients' physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
  • Formulate a goal-directed plan of care based on determined nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes.
  • Implement care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner.
  • Establish priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available resources.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care given and patient progression toward outcomes.
  • Identify patients' and significant others' learning needs and implement appropriate measures to meet them.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary functions.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Requirements
  • Current State of CT RN license.
  • Six months of ICU RN experience required.
  • BLS certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nursing certification.
  • BSN degree.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a 36-hour workweek. The work schedule is EVE NIGHT 12, with a 7:00pm-7:30am shift.

The ICU/CCU department is a fast-paced environment with a high level of patient acuity. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet the needs of patients and the department.
