Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Danbury Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and assume responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ongoing and systematic assessments of patients' physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
  • Develop and implement a goal-directed plan of care based on determined nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes.
  • Implement care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner.
  • Establish priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available resources.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care given and patient progression toward outcomes.
  • Identify patients' and significant others' learning needs and implement appropriate measures to meet them.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary functions and fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

Requirements:

  • State of CT Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU experience and/or 6 months of level IV NICU experience required.

Working Conditions:

  • Significant manual skills and motor coordination.
  • Significant occupational risk.
  • Very Heavy effort, exerting up to 50 lbs. force.
  • Significant exposure to dirt, odor, noise, human waste, etc.
