Job Description

PolyCon Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Federal Contract Professional to join our team. As an Acquisition Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the company's growth by delivering contracted services and ensuring client satisfaction through effective project management.

The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in the complete acquisition lifecycle and various contract types found in FAR Part 16 and Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS). They will serve as the technical champion for projects, responsible for day-to-day administrative and technical management of government contracts to ensure services meet contractual standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement overall work plans and project performance strategies to meet program objectives.
  • Cultivate close relationships with client leadership, including government Project Officers, Contracting Officers, and Contracting Officer's Representatives (COR), to provide proactive support resulting in excellent CPARS ratings.
  • Coordinate and monitor contract work standards, scheduling, pricing, reporting, and technical performance, ensuring appropriate feedback mechanisms for optimal ongoing performance and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources personnel to ensure projects are fully staffed with resources that guarantee project success and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent is highly desired.
  • At least 10 years of experience in awarding and administering various Federal contracts.
  • Successful program/project management experience, including identifying user requirements, translating them into project plans and milestones, directing and implementing plans, and presenting formal project status/plan briefings to project sponsors.
