We currently have an opening for a Logistics Planning Analyst / Manufacturing Technician III position within our Remanufacturing Division. This role primarily focuses on executing material replenishment strategies across the Mississippi Remanufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and analyze inventory turnover and material availability.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers, engineering, quality assurance, and operations teams to address material challenges as they arise.
  • Employ proactive tools such as Lean DNA and MFG Pro or other MRP systems to mitigate material shortages.
  • Utilize the Location Management System (LMS) to assess inventory levels when making decisions regarding material expedites.
  • Manage action messages weekly and coordinate with relevant suppliers.
  • Synchronize schedules with external suppliers to ensure timely material procurement.
  • Authorize the transfer of materials to other CAT facilities and oversee transportation logistics.
  • Report material shortages during daily supply chain meetings.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience in material procurement, including:
  • Planning analysis experience.
  • Parts procurement experience.
  • Inventory management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree from a college or university.
  • APICS, CPIM, or CSPC National Certification.
  • Familiarity with an MRP system (Material Requirements Planning) for scheduling and supplier management.
  • Understanding of Bill of Material and change management processes.
  • Experience with MFG Pro.
  • Knowledge of Location Management System (LMS) and High Velocity Caterpillar (HVC).

Additional Information:

Compensation & Benefits:

Work Hours: 7AM - 3PM; Monday - Friday

Starting hourly pay rate: $21.80 (negotiable based on skills and experience)

40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime.

80 hours of vacation plus an additional 24 hours of paid Personal Time Off (PTO).
