Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Financial Services Representative to join our team at West Tennessee Healthcare. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of patient accounts, maximizing reimbursement, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Claims Processing: Review and edit claims for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and payer requirements.
  • Account Resolution: Investigate and resolve patient account issues, including denied or rejected claims, and work with payers to obtain payment.
  • Cash Application and Reconciliation: Apply payments to patient accounts, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accurate and timely posting of cash receipts.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, payers, and internal stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on regulatory changes, payer requirements, and best practices in revenue cycle management.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in healthcare or related field preferred.
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of accounting principles, general office procedures, and healthcare revenue cycle operations; strong analytical and mathematical skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
