Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. This role involves a comprehensive understanding of patient needs and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver professional nursing services to ensure patient comfort and health.
  • Prepare medical equipment and assist physicians during medical procedures.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, manage wound care, and monitor vital signs.
  • Document patient care, observations, and progress meticulously.
  • This position includes travel opportunities for Registered Nurses.
  • Competitive travel and living allowances are available.
  • Assignments typically range from 12 to 16 weeks.
  • Flexible shifts available, including both day and night options.
  • Full-time commitment of 48 hours per week.
  • Guaranteed 48-hour work week.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Registered Nurse License in Alaska upon hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • A minimum of one year of nursing experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National certification in a relevant specialty area upon hire.

Salary Range: USD $68,791 to $113,961
