About the Role

The Leave Management Specialist will play a pivotal role in identifying and matching employers with qualified leave management administrators. This individual will utilize their expertise in HR practices and leave programs to ensure that both the employer's needs and the administrator's skills are aligned for optimal collaboration. This role requires a deep understanding of leave policies, federal and state regulations, and the ability to educate and present on these concepts to clients and prospects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with Employers: Collaborate with employers to understand their specific leave management needs and requirements.
  • Source and Vet Administrators: Identify and assess potential leave management administrators through various channels, including initial administrator interviews and assessments to determine qualifications and compatibility with employers.
  • Provide Expert Advice: Offer guidance and consultation on leave management best practices, compliance issues, and policy development.
  • Facilitate Introductions: Arrange meetings between employers and potential administrators to foster successful partnerships.
  • Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing support and consultation to ensure the success of these partnerships.
  • Develop Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain clients utilizing integrated absence management and workforce productivity strategies.
  • Maintain Network: Maintain a robust network of HR professionals and leave-related providers specializing in leave management.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Stay current with changes in leave laws and regulations to provide up-to-date guidance.
  • Primary Contact: Serve as the primary contact for Hylant employees and clients regarding leave questions and concerns, providing guidance and support throughout the leave process.
Requirements
  • Strong Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of federal and state leave laws, including FMLA, ADA, and Workers' Compensation.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in absence and leave management.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in HR consulting, sales, or a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using MS Office Suite.
  • Certification: Certification in HR, Leave Management, and/or Disability Management (e.g., SHRM-CP, CLMS, or CPDM) is preferred.
