Role Overview:
Our Public Sector Financial Services Segment is in search of a consultant to enhance our capital markets division.

This role necessitates the candidate to engage in data analysis, demonstrate problem-solving capabilities, apply critical thinking, conduct research on capital markets, and provide insightful commentary on prevailing capital market themes and trends.

You will handle substantial datasets concerning intricate securitized products and will be expected to think innovatively regarding the exploration of trends associated with capital market offerings.

The selected candidate will collaborate with a team of seasoned professionals to deliver financial advisory services to governmental entities involved in the housing finance sector.

As a consultant within the capital markets division, you will closely coordinate with project leadership to keep them updated on task order advancements, significant developments, and to assist in crafting analytical pieces concerning essential capital market topics and trends.


Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data related to macroeconomic indicators, capital markets, and mortgage market trends.
- Investigate market dynamics (e.g., market disruptions, policy changes, risk management strategies).
- Develop analytical papers, presentations, and observations on capital markets.
- Collaborate directly with and support Guidehouse managers, directors, and partners in addressing client inquiries.
- Engage with clients in the creation of deliverables.
- Conduct loan due diligence and manage investor relations activities related to asset transactions.
- Operate both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong comprehension of fixed income markets and mortgage-backed securities.
- Basic knowledge of the secondary mortgage market and its stakeholders.
- Experience or willingness to interact with clients regularly.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, including the ability to prepare white papers and presentations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the mortgage finance sector (e.g., issuer, servicer, guarantor, trustee, etc.).
- Financial modeling experience.
- Educational background preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or STEM.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Associate in Project Management, Project Management Professional, Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Public Accountant, etc.
