Key Responsibilities- Operational Workflow Coordination: Coordinate the operational workflow of clinical office staff, ensuring efficient distribution of workload and staff assignments.
- Human Resource Support: Assist the supervisor with human resource responsibilities, including interviewing, selection, new employee orientation, staff development, performance feedback, and employee morale.
- Clinical Office Assistant Duties: Perform various clinical office assistant duties, such as reception, answering, screening, and triaging telephone calls, scheduling appointments, data entry, billing, medical records, and general clerical functions.
- Resource and Problem-Solving: Serve as a resource for department personnel and physicians, providing problem-solving support, office policy development, customer relations, and service management.
- Calendar Management: Schedule and maintain calendars of appointments, meetings, and travel, coordinating related administrative aspects.
- Supply Management: Oversee the ordering of department supplies, maintaining awareness of budget constraints and monitoring office equipment.
- Customer Service: Resolve basic to intermediate customer concerns and complaints, providing excellent customer service.
- Project Development: Identify and independently plan, develop, and implement additional projects or reports useful to the department.
- Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification: None required.
- Education: High school graduate.
- Experience: Typically requires 5 years of experience in secretarial/clerical support.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Intermediate to advanced computer skills with Microsoft office products, project coordination skills, excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated customer service skills.
