Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Manager (APM) plays a pivotal role in anchoring nursing practice to evidence-based information and nurse-sensitive outcomes within the Center for Professional Practice Innovation and Nursing Research (CPPI) department at Rhode Island Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and implement patient-specific and population-based programs of care to drive clinical excellence in patient care.
  • Contribute to clinical excellence through consulting, research, teaching, and leadership in the organization.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional leadership to facilitate achievement of quality nursing practice and patient experience.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in the field to address questions and provide strategic direction for evidence-based and quality innovation.
  • Utilize statistical methods and metrics to set goals and measure clinical performance and quality outcomes.
Requirements
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
  • Master's degree in Nursing with an academic focus on clinical practice, nursing education, or nursing administration.
  • Current license to practice in the state of Rhode Island required; APRN license or advanced certification preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills, and creative problem-solving in an environment with culturally diverse needs and abilities of staff.
