About the Role

Piper Companies is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our acquisition team, you will provide executive-level acquisition support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Acquisition Strategies: Prepare briefings and strategy recommendations for senior executives and develop acquisition plans to meet business objectives.
  • Manage Acquisition Processes: Coordinate quarterly Program Management Reviews, prepare Joint Capabilities Integration and Development Systems (JCIDS) documentation, and develop program and project documentation.
  • Provide Technical Support: Attend meetings, document and summarize discussions, and provide training and develop evaluation board analysis reports for proposal evaluations.
  • Monitor Program Performance: Coordinate with program managers to monitor cost, schedule, and performance of NCWDG entities.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 Years' Experience: In systems acquisition, including logistics, research and development, configuration management or systems analysis or design.
  • Experience Working on Programs: At least 5 years in science and technology or research, development, test and evaluation programs.
  • Experience Briefing Senior Executives: Experience briefing and developing briefs for Flag Officers and Senior Executives.
  • PPBE Experience: Experience with Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) to include the development of acquisition strategies, development of budget and financial management documentation, and monitoring project performance and contract deliverables.
  • DAU Certification: DAU Level 2 Certification (in Program Management, SPRDE, or Systems Engineering) or equivalent.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree: In a relevant field.
