About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain individualized care plans for patients, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient needs are met.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, document patient responses to treatments, and adjust care priorities as needed.
  • Collect and report data on patient biophysical, psychosocial, and educational needs, working with healthcare teams to develop effective care plans.
  • Participate in unit and departmental enrichment activities, contributing to positive outcomes and the orientation and education of other personnel.
  • Provide a range of treatments and therapies, including respiratory care, medication administration, and patient teaching, based on established plans.
  • Assist patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge, providing support and facilitating coping strategies.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • NC LPN License and BCLS certification.
  • None required for professional experience.
  • Language skills: ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and communicate effectively.
  • Mathematical skills: ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret instructions.
  • Reasoning ability: ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables.
