Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Strategic Purchasing Leader to join our team As a key member of our finance and accounting department, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing of supplies and products used at our locations. You will formulate an approved vendors list encompassing all categories, purchase and approve payment of items following established procedures, and ensure compliance with brand systems and procedures.

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order System for the property and ensure employees are trained on this system.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accurate administration of invoices and adherence to proper bookkeeping procedures.
  • Maintain operations by developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Implement and enforce control procedures for property goods entering through the purchasing/receiving areas.
  • Solicit employee feedback and use an open door policy to foster a positive work environment.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Communicate with departments to confirm and clarify purchase orders or contracts.
  • Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures.
  • Inform executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major; or a minimum of 4 years' experience in Purchasing or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others.
  • Ability to analyze information, evaluate results, and choose the best solution to solve problems.
Salary and Benefits
