Our facilities process over 11 million tons of waste annually, converting 6.7 million tons into clean, renewable energy powering 340,000 homes. We also recycle more than 234,000 tons of plastic, paper, and metals from the waste stream.

Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, proper, and efficient maintenance of our facilities. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, this individual will be responsible for managing and coordinating maintenance activities, including installing, inspecting, testing, repairing, adjusting, and calibrating all plant equipment and instrumentation. This includes providing night supervision during major outages and assisting in implementing effective PM programs, lubrication plans, and installation, troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, assign, and supervise the work of the maintenance department during daily operations.
  • Review and ensure all operating and emergency procedures are being complied with in the Maintenance department.
  • Conduct daily inspections of plant machinery and equipment, inspect ongoing activities for safety and environmental compliance, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Assign daily work to team members based on priority, working with the Operations department on a shift-to-shift basis.
  • Ensure communication is established and consistent with the departments' on-call schedule and contact information for specified events.
  • Responsible for compliance of maintenance department as it relates to required training and additional training requested to improve employee development.
  • Supervise mechanical and E&I maintenance functions of the plant, in accordance with appropriate company safety and maintenance standards and procedures.
  • Supervise all mechanical and E&I maintenance department activities, including preventative, predictive, corrective, emergency, contracted, and warranty service.
  • Prepare, authorize, and schedule completion of work orders for equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Select, supervise, train, develop, and evaluate performance of maintenance staff.
  • Schedule and monitor performance of all outside contractors to ensure effective, safe plant maintenance and operation.
  • Oversee maintenance of all facility mobile equipment.
  • Develop and maintain records of plant maintenance, including work orders, P.M., lubrication planning, planned and unplanned outages, and inspections.
  • Prepare work orders indicating malfunctions of instruments and authorize work order requests. Requisition new parts and instruments. Plan and supervise repair and maintenance during major outages.
  • Utilize and maintain CMMS in accordance with company policy.
  • Oversee management of the Maintenance Shop. Inspect and test shop equipment, including new and repaired instruments, to verify dimensions of parts for conformance to quality control standards.
