Position Overview:

Larson Maddox is seeking a highly skilled Transactional Financial Services Attorney to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial services transactions and a strong background in financial services overall.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, private equity, and other financial instruments
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents, including purchase agreements, partnership agreements, and financing agreements
  • Advise on regulatory compliance matters related to the financial services industry, including securities laws, banking regulations, and consumer protection laws
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, compliance, and risk management teams, to ensure seamless transaction execution
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on emerging issues and trends in the financial services sector
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance
  • Represent the company in negotiations and dispute resolution as needed

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar preferred
  • 3-7 years of experience in transactional law, preferably within the financial services sector
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
