Position Overview: The Building Operations Supervisor is tasked with the comprehensive management of all facility and grounds upkeep, ensuring that all locations are secure, compliant with regulations, and fully functional. This role includes overseeing contractors and collaborating with external service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage site enhancements and expansions, including ongoing projects.
  • Ensure the maintenance of both onsite and offsite facilities while adhering to safety protocols and budgetary constraints.
  • Lead the implementation of new automation technologies throughout the facility.
  • Organize discussions with municipal officials, engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders regarding site improvements.
  • Maintain project timelines, capital expenditure budgets, relevant documentation, and associated costs.
  • Work with the accounting department to ensure all capital expenditure costs are accurately recorded weekly.
  • Plan and oversee building maintenance and operational initiatives.
  • Administer all vendor agreements, facility planning, and space/parking distribution.
  • Guarantee the operational efficiency of all building systems.
  • Compile facility operational reports and financial plans.
  • Generate cost assessments for relocations and equipment acquisitions.
  • Oversee the upkeep of outdoor areas.
  • Coordinate building security and maintenance services.
  • Manage all maintenance concerns and schedules.
  • Prepare and submit reports to governmental and regulatory bodies, including environmental permits.
  • Forecast, allocate, and supervise the financial and physical resources of facility management.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering, or a related discipline, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities management.
  • Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial machinery.
  • Strong grasp of warehouse management systems.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional project management capabilities.
  • Able to interpret complex electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of managing projects and making informed decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to engage in physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items, climbing, and crawling.
