Senior Systems Engineer

Mayo Clinic is a world-renowned healthcare organization that values innovation, diversity, and excellence. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our complex infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering oversight for critical infrastructure systems, including mechanical, electrical, and energy management systems.
  • Evaluate and improve the performance of existing systems, project their remaining useful life, and develop proposals for upgrades or replacements.
  • Develop and maintain systems specifications, evaluate emerging technologies, and coordinate implementation and commissioning processes.
  • Support energy engineering initiatives, including data analysis, energy management program review, and strategy development.
  • Collaborate with site leaders and staff to identify and develop energy-saving strategies and projects.
  • Track system and equipment failures, find ways to increase uptime and reduce maintenance costs, and manage risk to the organization.
  • Provide mentoring and oversight to Associate and Systems Engineers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college and eight years of experience.
  • Master's degree in engineering and six years of experience providing engineering support for complex building infrastructure systems in technical facilities preferred.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
