As a key member of our team at Lumina Sustainable Materials, you will play a vital role in driving the success of our highly filled masterbatches, additive delivery systems, compounding processes, mineral processing, and polymer applications across various industries.

This is a hands-on position in our expanding organization. At Lumina Sustainable Materials, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability.

Your Responsibilities:

Production Support:
Operate production equipment to produce commercial products, ensuring high-quality output and efficiency.

Create and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and production targets.

Train new employees and supervise their performance, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Monitor production processes to identify and resolve any issues promptly, minimizing downtime and optimizing production.

Pilot Plant Support:
Coordinate activities related to the pilot plant, including equipment setup, trials, and data collection, to drive innovation and process improvement.

Collaborate with Research and Development teams to transition successful pilot-scale processes to full-scale production, ensuring seamless integration and efficiency gains.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and health standards, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.

Evaluate machine resources to minimize downtime and optimize production, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall performance.

Equipment Maintenance:
Perform equipment troubleshooting and repair, ensuring all equipment functions properly and efficiently.

Work closely with maintenance teams to address any breakdowns promptly, minimizing downtime and optimizing production.

Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, reducing the risk of equipment failure and downtime.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
Develop and maintain SOPs for production processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all areas.

Train staff on SOPs and ensure adherence, promoting a culture of excellence and compliance.

Regularly assess safety standards across all areas, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency gains, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.

Set productivity goals for manufacturing teams, organizing workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.

Requirements

Industrial or Mechanical Technical Degree or equivalent experience. 10+ years experience in an industrial manufacturing setting preferred.

Proven experience in production management or related roles, with a strong track record of success.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Proficiency in using production software and tools, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and systems.
