Your Key Responsibilities:

Production Support:

  • Operate production equipment to produce commercial products, ensuring high-quality output and efficient processes.
  • Create and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource allocation.
  • Train new employees and supervise their performance to ensure seamless integration into the team.
  • Monitor production processes to promptly resolve any issues and maintain productivity.

Pilot Plant Support:

  • Coordinate activities related to the pilot plant, including equipment setup, trials, and data collection to inform process improvements.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to transition successful pilot-scale processes to full-scale production, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and health standards, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Evaluate machine resources to minimize downtime and optimize production, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Perform equipment troubleshooting and repair to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular maintenance for production equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
  • Work closely with maintenance teams to address any breakdowns promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Verify that all equipment functions properly and efficiently, maintaining a high level of productivity.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):

  • Develop and maintain SOPs for production processes, ensuring consistency and adherence to quality standards.
  • Train staff on SOPs and ensure adherence to maintain high-quality output and efficient processes.
  • Regularly assess safety standards across all areas, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency gains, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
  • Set productivity goals for manufacturing teams, organizing workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Industrial or Mechanical Technical Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting, preferably in production management or related roles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in using production software and tools.
