Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will fulfill a dual role, assisting both the administrative team and caregivers while addressing the needs of clients on a daily basis. Responsibilities will include welcoming new clients and caregivers during introductions, filling in for caregivers during their absences, mentoring and guiding new staff, and aiding the Operations team with various projects as needed. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) that offers a flexible schedule, making it ideal for individuals who appreciate variety and spontaneity in their workday.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Embody the core values of Babette Home Care
  • Foster a positive living environment to improve a client's quality of life
  • Document daily activities and communicate any significant changes in a client's needs or living conditions
  • Maintain consistent communication with supervisors and office personnel
  • Provide Companionship & Home Helper services as required, which may include:
    • Engaging in conversation and companionship
    • Assisting with mobility and stabilization
    • Preparing meals and managing meal-related tasks
    • Offering medication reminders and appointment notifications
    • Performing light housekeeping duties as necessary (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, etc.)
  • Deliver Personal Care services as needed, which may include:
    • Assisting with bathing
    • Supporting grooming activities
    • Helping with toileting and incontinence care
  • Provide Specialized services which may include:
    • Advanced Alzheimer's/Dementia Care
    • Hospice Care
