Job Overview

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Wind Turbine Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Little Rock. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of wind turbines.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the performance of mechanical, hydraulic, and electric component maintenance, repair, and replacement on wind turbines.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems on variable pitch and variable speed wind turbines.
  • Perform all necessary maintenance, repair, and replacement tasks to correct malfunctions.
  • Read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Use electrical test equipment to assist in troubleshooting and testing.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum one year technical wind industry experience, OR six months technical wind industry experience and a certificate of completion from a Wind Technician program, OR three years' experience working with hydraulic, electrical, mechanical skills, and composite skills.
  • Demonstrated use and understanding of intermediate level power tools such as hydraulic, power torque, and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to demonstrate intermediate working knowledge of industrial safety practices and protocols.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport.
  • Basic computer operation skills and familiarity with internet-based program navigation.
  • Able to climb towers unassisted up to 300 feet and work safely in a wide range of adverse climates and environments.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.
