About the Role

At Hugg & Hall Equipment Company, we are seeking a highly skilled Preventative Maintenance Equipment Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.


Job Summary:

We are looking for an individual with mechanical knowledge and customer service skills to perform preventative maintenance tasks on various types of company-owned and customer equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, communicate effectively with all involved parties, and operate in a safe and efficient manner.


Responsibilities
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to maintain performance standards and prevent downtime.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate with managers, coordinators, sales personnel, and customers regarding job progress updates and potential downtime.
  • Safety and Efficiency: Operate in a safe and efficient manner, minimizing equipment downtime while maintaining safe working standards.

Requirements
  • Mechanical Training/Education: Minimum 6 months to 1 year of mechanical training/education or experience in a related field.
  • Line of Tools: Possessing or ability to obtain the necessary line of tools required to complete the job.
  • Age Requirements: Minimum 18 years of age (21 years of age for driving positions).
  • Clean Driving Record: Clean driving record required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Desirable Skills
  • Communication Skills: Above-average communication skills.
  • Schematic Reading: Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics.
  • Accuracy and Timeliness: Ability to accomplish duties with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions

This position involves working in company operating facilities and outdoors, encountering varying weather conditions and temperatures. The employee will frequently work on equipment with potential hazards, requiring appropriate safety equipment and practices. Lifting up to 100 pounds and standing, walking, twisting, climbing, and crawling are also required.
