Role Overview
We are seeking a Regulatory Lead to spearhead the formulation and execution of Cash App's anti-money laundering and regulatory program strategy. This position will report directly to the Head of Strategy for Cash App Compliance and will collaborate closely with various internal Compliance partners, including Global Policy & Governance, Product Risk & Compliance, and Cash App Program Management, as well as external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Cash App and Compliance teams to facilitate external audits, examinations, and third-party reviews, providing guidance on design and ensuring effective remediation efforts.
- Support internal risk assessments, testing, and audit reviews, advising on design and overseeing necessary remediation actions.
- Develop and manage the ongoing implementation of Block's Issue Management Program within Cash App.
- Establish and oversee Compliance Governance and Program documentation frameworks for Cash App.
- Prepare and coordinate Cash App Compliance-specific content for Board of Director and Leadership reporting.
- Engage cross-functionally with Block's compliance governance, Internal Audit, Legal, and other teams to support our BSA/AML Program.
- Oversee the end-to-end implementation of assigned programs.
- Effectively communicate progress and present results to relevant stakeholders.
- Stay informed on regulatory developments, industry trends, and internal roadmaps to guide strategic decisions.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in governance related to anti-money laundering and/or consumer protection programs within the financial services sector.
- 5+ years of experience in project management and compliance roles, demonstrating the ability to anticipate and prioritize effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of BSA/AML, Sanctions, and Consumer Protection regulations and industry trends.
- An analytical mindset with a metrics-driven approach to developing substantiated solutions.
- Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and influencing skills, capable of collaborating with partners across various teams and communicating with all levels of employees.
- Proven experience in working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated judgment in navigating complex and confidential scenarios.
Additional Information
Block adopts a market-based approach to compensation, which may vary by location. The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. This compensation structure may be adjusted in the future.
