We are seeking a qualified Adolescent Clinician to join our team at Child & Family Services of Eastern Virginia Inc. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with adolescents, families, and community stakeholders.

About the Role

">

The Adolescent Clinician will be responsible for providing clinical mental health and substance use treatment interventions in a community setting. This includes working directly with youth and families to develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans/goals of counseling utilizing the Happiness Scale to enhance development of problem-solving skills, foster adolescent-caregiver relationship skills, job-seeking skills, and anger management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Implement the Adolescent-Community Reinforcement Approach model from multiple locations across Hampton Roads, primarily in the client's home and various community locations.">
  • Facilitate psycho-educational A-CRA training with youth and parent/caregiver, including relapse prevention and sobriety sampling, rapport building, and motivation by reinforcing skills learned during sessions.">
  • Participate in on-going professional development and supervision, as well as continuous quality improvement processes.">
  • Ensure ongoing communication and coordination with team members, partner agencies, and community stakeholders throughout service delivery.">
  • Tracking day-to-day activities to ensure program tasks are completed on time, successfully, and in a manner consistent with the Adolescent-Community Reinforcement Approach Model, program goals, departmental policies, and grantor's terms and conditions.">

      Requirements

      To be successful in this role, you will need:

      ">
      • ">
      • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or Psychology.">
      • Qualification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-C) or Licensed Eligible Clinician.">
      • Knowledge of principles and practices of professional counseling and/or social work, including case management methods and techniques.">
      • At least two years' experience working directly with youth and families providing clinical mental health and substance use treatment interventions in a community setting.">
      • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and access to a personal vehicle without prior notice.">
      • Able to maintain a flexible work schedule to include evenings and weekends as required, and able to travel throughout the Hampton Roads area on a regular basis.">
      • Strong organizational and presentation skills, proficient computer skills, and command of Microsoft Word and Excel.">
      • Ability to engage with clients and maintain appropriate boundaries, strong leadership, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills.">
      • Effective written and verbal communication skills.">
