Job Summary

White Plains Hospital is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for obtaining blood specimens from patients for laboratory analysis, adhering to established protocols and methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain blood specimens from patients using various techniques.
  • Accurately identify and process specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to universal precautions.
  • Operate laboratory information systems and hospital information systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Previous phlebotomy experience and experience in a healthcare environment.
Work Environment

May be exposed to chemicals necessary for the job. Ability to move about the department and multiple patient locations frequently. Excellent eye-hand coordination and dexterity needed for venipunctures.
