Key Responsibilities- Collect blood specimens from patients using various techniques.
- Accurately identify and process specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to universal precautions.
- Operate laboratory information systems and hospital information systems as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Previous phlebotomy experience and experience in a healthcare environment.
As a Phlebotomist at White Plains Hospital, you will be exposed to chemicals necessary for the job. You will need to move frequently throughout the workday and have excellent eye-hand coordination and dexterity for venipunctures.
