Position Overview:
The Marketing Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the visibility and engagement of our institution through creative design and effective communication strategies. This position requires a blend of artistic talent and strategic thinking to produce a variety of marketing materials that resonate with our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create visually appealing publications, flyers, advertisements, and digital content.
- Produce and edit video content, including short clips and longer formats, to promote events and initiatives.
- Capture high-quality photographs and videos during college events to enhance our visual storytelling.
- Assist in crafting compelling content for newsletters, social media posts, and internal communications.
- Develop design standards and contribute to the creation of website templates to ensure a cohesive brand identity.
- Work closely with event coordinators and other teams to meet tight deadlines and project requirements.
Essential Duties:
Provide expert advice to college staff regarding their marketing needs, ensuring that all visual assets align with institutional goals. Edit and finalize projects, securing necessary approvals before publication. Collaborate with the Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communication to strategize and execute marketing initiatives.
Creative Contributions:
Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative concepts for graphic and video content. Execute design and production tasks for both print and digital media, ensuring high-quality outputs.
Social Media Management:
Oversee the college's social media presence, responding to inquiries and engaging with our community across various platforms. Assist departments in establishing and managing their social media accounts while adhering to college guidelines.
Technical Support:
Provide technical assistance in utilizing the Hannon Hill CMS program for creating and maintaining web pages. Develop and manage HTML email newsletters and mailing lists, prioritizing content based on institutional needs.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in graphic design, marketing, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in graphic design and video production. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with social media management tools is essential. A commitment to diversity and inclusion in marketing practices is highly valued.
Working Environment:
