Job Overview

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is on the lookout for a dedicated Industrial Field Service Technician to take on a long-term position with a company that specializes in the installation, enhancement, and maintenance of palletizing machinery across North America.

This role entails significant travel, with expectations of being on the road 75-90% of the time.

Compensation: $30-$40 per hour, plus overtime and per diem.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through positive engagement.
  • Accept assignments that may require both domestic and international travel, including Canada, often with little notice.
  • Complete tasks to the satisfaction of clients and secure necessary approvals.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies.
  • Support shop startups and provide technical assistance via phone.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Field Service Manager and team regarding job status and any challenges encountered.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Uphold confidentiality and manage pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Travel safely and efficiently using various modes of transportation.
  • Possess knowledge of motion control systems, operator interface design, and safety circuitry.
Qualifications:
  • At least two years of experience with large-scale equipment design and operations.
  • Strong mechanical skills with experience in electromechanical systems.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in electrical troubleshooting, particularly with control panel wiring and sensors.
  • At least three years of experience with Allen Bradley PLCs or equivalent systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP/MRP software.
  • Possess a current passport or the ability to obtain one.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to bend, stoop, twist, and squat as needed.
  • Visual acuity to ensure quality and precision in work.
