Position Overview

Actalent is seeking a meticulous and skilled Manufacturing Process Specialist to join our team. This role is focused on delivering engineering expertise to enhance our plastic molding operations. The responsibilities include material processing and evaluation, equipment management, and establishing protocols for material selection and performance in designated applications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct laboratory tests to verify material quality.
  • Develop application methodologies for various materials.
  • Document and report findings effectively.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between clients and material suppliers.
  • Coordinate material and process specifications with tooling engineers for new product launches.
  • Provide technical assistance to project teams during product introduction phases.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of experience in material and process engineering, ideally within the plastics sector of the automotive field.
  • Familiarity with SAE and/or ASTM standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.
  • Experience with industrial materials such as polycarbonate, acrylic, PMMA, polypropylene, ABS, and ASA.

Position Type

Work Environment

The position is situated in a dynamic Industrial Manufacturing Facility within the automotive sector, characterized by a fast-paced atmosphere. The standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM.
