Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate K-12 School Counselor to join our team. As a School Counselor, you will provide support to students and families in three schools in the Mayer/Watertown area. Your primary responsibilities will include creating and co-leading student support teams, meeting with administration to review referrals and interventions, and driving the implementation of tier 1 programs.

Responsibilities
  • Create and co-lead student support teams to address social, emotional, and academic learning needs.
  • Meet with administration to review referrals and interventions, ensuring a collaborative approach to student support.
  • Drive the implementation of tier 1 programs, providing training and support to teachers as needed.
  • Create singular or multiple cross-grade tier 2 groups to address specific student needs.
  • Maintain awareness of student diagnoses, develop and update plans for tier 3 students, and share with staff as needed.
  • Connect with and support parents as needed, providing referrals to our team.
  • Provide and encourage outside referrals for students as needed.
  • Offer college and career guidance to students.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in school counseling or a related field.
  • MN School Counselor License or pre-license candidates in counseling program preferred.

Mayer/Watertown, MN

Duration and Position Type

Full-time position, 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Salary Range

$38-$48 per hour based on experience and qualifications
