Environmental Services Team Lead Job Description

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Services Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our EVS team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training for new caregivers on floor care, wall washing, carpet cleaning, and special procedures.
  • Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.
  • Follow policies and procedures on patient isolation.
  • Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated.
  • Maintain cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others in coordinating multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in Environmental Services.
  • Leadership experience or experience providing work direction.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • Ability to move/transport items weighing up to 25 pounds (lbs.).
  • Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to 25 pounds (lbs.).
  • Ability to move/transport animals weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.).
  • Ability to inspect equipment.
  • Ability to clean, operate cleaning equipment, and use cleaning products.
  • May come into contact with communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
