Job Summary

BGE Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our TxDOT Roadway Drainage team in Austin, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading complex drainage design projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead teams designing TxDOT Roadway Drainage systems, stormwater drain systems, open channel conveyance, and culvert analysis.
  • Collaborate with Public Works/Water Resources Team on dam rehabilitations, storm sewer installations, and city water quality projects.
  • Provide technical input and review of project deliverables.
  • Identify business development opportunities and drive growth initiatives.
  • Recruit and develop staff with necessary skills to drive growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5-10+ years of experience in TxDOT drainage, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design, or related surface water engineering.
  • Hydrologic/hydraulic modeling experience, including steady and unsteady modeling, 1D and 2D modeling (EPA SWMM) experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in drafting software (Open Roads Designer, MicroStation) and drainage design software (ORD Subsurface Utilities, Drainage Analysis, Geopak Drainage) is desired.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with TX DOT projects is desirable.
  • Knowledge of HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks, XPSWMM 1D & 2D, ArcGIS or ArcPro, HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-GeoHMS, or ArcHydro, ESRI, HY-8 is preferred.
