Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mainframe DB2 Systems Programmer to join our team at Ensono. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing premium software support and services to our mainframe clients related to DB2 systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective support to mainframe z/OS customers for DB2 and related OEM software products.
  • Lead primary upgrade support for DB2 and related products.
  • Implement OEM software products efficiently and according to best practices and Ensono standards.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new Ensono clients with respect to DB2 and related OEM software products.
  • Manage resources and implement solutions efficiently to meet client needs.
  • Follow ITSM change control procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in DB2 administration and systems programming support.
  • Extensive experience with recent installation and customization of DB2 subsystems, troubleshooting and solving DB2 system database issues, and troubleshooting and solving DB2 software-related issues.
  • Working knowledge of WLM environment with respect to DB2, solid working knowledge of DB2 Utilities, TSO, and FTP, strong knowledge of SMP/E and its role in the installation process, and base knowledge in Unix System Services (USS) related to DB2 requirements in USS.
  • Strong JCL skills and knowledge in best practices of software management, maintenance, and documentation.
  • Ability to work with clients as an Ensono ambassador for DB2-related matters.
