About the Job

The State of Maine, Bureau of Human Resources, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Programmer Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our application development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software applications using Java, Oracle, and other relevant technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and API documentation.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java, Oracle, and other relevant technologies.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
