We are currently seeking a Land Mobile Radio Technician to support a federal government client.

The Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Field Operations Team plays a crucial role in ensuring effective communication systems for our clients. This team collaborates with clients to oversee, validate, and manage the contributions of third-party vendors involved in LMR projects. The focus is on modernizing, operating, and maintaining LMR systems, utilizing cutting-edge technologies to enhance performance, broaden coverage, and introduce innovative capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and operate LMR systems, ensuring their functionality.
  • Deploy and provide support for LMR systems at various client locations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to LMR systems.
  • Document configurations and overall system architectures of LMR.
  • Construct and evaluate proof of concept LMR solutions in a controlled environment.
  • Develop and implement testing protocols, documenting the outcomes.
  • Assist with initiatives led by the Field Operations team as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in radio technology, preferably in a technician capacity supporting Land Mobile Radio or similar systems.
  • Ability to pass a background check and secure a Public Trust clearance.
  • Experience in military or public safety radio services is highly advantageous.
  • Technical certifications such as FCC License or NABER License are beneficial.
  • Training specific to Motorola or other manufacturers is a plus.
  • Certifications for tower climbing are also considered an asset.
