The Guest Services & Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Guest Services and Security operations during events to guarantee an exceptional level of guest satisfaction throughout the event experience.

Venue Information

The Ford Idaho Center is recognized as the leading Multi-Event Complex in the Pacific Northwest, providing a premier experience for concerts, conventions, sporting events, trade shows, and equestrian shows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Guest Services and Security functions during events to ensure a high standard of guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement training programs for part-time staff in Guest Services and Security, focusing on public speaking and audience engagement.
  • Manage the recruitment, hiring, and training processes for department personnel.
  • Handle hiring procedures for all part-time facility staff.
  • Organize and direct workloads for Guest Services, Security, and Parking personnel.
  • Serve as the primary contact for event-related concerns, addressing inquiries and complaints promptly.
  • Contribute to the development and administration of departmental policies and long-term objectives.
  • Prepare staffing estimates and complete financial settlements as required.
  • Ensure timely entry of employee schedules into the timekeeping system, making necessary updates.
  • Monitor staff attendance in accordance with policy, collaborating with HR for any disciplinary actions.
  • Schedule and ensure adequate staffing for events, coordinating with Security, Police, and EMT departments.
  • Act as Event Manager as needed, performing all associated duties.
  • Attend the majority of events with part-time staff present.
  • Implement disciplinary measures with staff when necessary.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Follow established procedures for organizing information within shared digital folders.
  • Assist clients with event logistics and recommend optimal facility usage for various functions.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment during events to best represent the venue.
  • Communicate all relevant event information to appropriate departments and staff members.
  • Create work schedules for event and security personnel, delegating tasks and reviewing performance.
  • Collaborate with the Director and other Event Managers to formulate staffing plans and related documentation.
  • Design and manage departmental initiatives such as Employee of the Month and staff training programs.
  • Serve as the facility manager on duty as required.
  • Communicate any issues and proposed solutions to the General Manager and/or Director of Events in a timely manner.
  • Prepare event reports detailing attendance, timing, and significant issues.
  • Interact with other facility staff in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all clients.
