We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Skilled Trades Workforce Manager to join our team at JE Dunn. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and promoting the use and growth of skilled tradespeople on our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Workforce Management: Develop and implement strategies to manage the supply and demand of skilled trades workforce needs, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
- Recruitment and Hiring: Manage the internal and external plan for hiring skilled trades workforce, including development of recruitment strategies and partnerships with external vendors.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and certifications of skilled trades workforce, ensuring they meet the needs of our projects.
- Field Operations: Partner with field leadership to establish field staffing for assigned projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Employee Relations: Provide oversight of new employee orientations, explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees, and/or job applicants for assigned area.
- Incident Investigation: Assist project teams and the Safety Department in investigating all recordable incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and retraining staff as needed.
- Culture and Diversity: Lead, support, and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within JE Dunn, ensuring positive, proactive implementation throughout the organization.
- Education: High School/GED or equivalent (Required), Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (Preferred)
- Experience: 5+ years construction experience (Required), Experience with Lean principles (Preferred)
- Skills: Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner, Communication skills, verbal and written, Ability to conduct effective presentations, Proficiency in MS Office, Proficiency in project management and accounting software, Proficiency in required JE Dunn construction technology, Proficiency in scheduling software, Ability to apply Lean process and philosophy, Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work, Knowledge of self-perform and labor productivity, Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources
- Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to pounds, Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs, Normal office environment, but may be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold)
