Job Description

At Alexander & Schmidt, a Senior Insurance Risk Consultant performs thorough inspections and prepares detailed reports for insurance underwriting purposes.

Insurance companies rely on these reports to accurately assess and price commercial risks, ensuring they have the necessary coverage for new policies or renewals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct property assessments to determine the adequacy of sprinkler systems, commodities, and racking systems.
  • Analyze inland marine coverages, including builders risk, contractor's equipment, motor truck cargo, WLL, and MOLL.
  • Examine commercial general liability, including premises, operations, products, and completed operations.
  • Assess workers' compensation for regulatory compliance and workplace safety.
  • Perform loss analysis to identify trends, root causes, and corrective actions.
  • Provide risk improvement services, including training, consulting, hazard analysis, and regulatory assessments.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in commercial insurance loss control services.
  • Extensive understanding of commercial property and casualty lines.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Professional certifications, such as CSP, OHST, ALCM, and/or ARM, are preferred.

This role requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality reports and services to clients.
