Key Responsibilities- Collect and record GPS positions, photos, and attribute data for utility data related to electric and telecommunications assets in the field.
- Work independently in challenging conditions, walking moderate distances while carrying equipment.
- Engage with property owners to discuss data collection tasks and their necessity.
- Manage data files daily to ensure data integrity and security.
- Interpret map information to determine the best approach for efficiently surveying project areas.
- Meet or exceed overall quality control standards established by clients.
- Maintain equipment by performing basic troubleshooting and care.
- Work efficiently with minimal supervision and maintain a company vehicle.
- Collaborate with GIS Field Surveyors, Field Supervisors, and Project Managers to complete assigned work.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge and experience with data conversion using ArcGIS, AutoCAD, or Microstation.
- Ability to assist Technical Analysts and Project Managers in researching and recommending new methods, equipment, or programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information and research, interpret, and summarize data.
- Highly motivated, self-starting, flexible, detail-oriented, and able to work at a dynamic pace.
