Position Summary

Junior Consultants are tasked with crafting solutions for clients in areas such as organizational structure, strategic planning, supply chain management, and operational efficiency. Work will be conducted in a hybrid setting; Junior Consultants will collaborate with Rios Partners staff, clients, and other partner organizations both on-site and remotely. Work schedules will be determined based on client and project requirements, with a minimum expectation of on-site availability one day per week.

As a Junior Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Establishing connections with Rios Partners staff and clients. This role necessitates extensive collaboration with both colleagues and clients, where politeness, inclusivity, and respect are paramount.
  2. Identifying challenges by framing issues to uncover root causes. We seek individuals who can delve deeper than surface-level symptoms to pinpoint fundamental challenges before proposing solutions.
  3. Conducting data analysis efficiently. As a data-centric organization, Rios Partners relies on precise analysis to support our hypotheses. The ability to swiftly identify, gather, and analyze necessary data is crucial for success.
  4. Communicating effectively in a professional and persuasive manner. All team members are expected to present their work clearly and coherently to external stakeholders.
  5. Achieving results. In essence, we execute effectively and seek team members who demonstrate resilience in the face of challenges and know how to transition from analysis to implementation. Rios Partners values tenacity.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree is required by the start date of employment.
  • Junior Consultant: No prior professional experience is necessary.
  • Senior Consultant: A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience or a Master's degree with 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A demonstrated commitment to serving communities.
  • Experience or coursework related to organizational design, strategic planning, supply chain management, and operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, and/or Python.
  • A curious mindset and the ability to work independently.

Additional Requirements:

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Willingness to reside in the DC Metro area for the duration of employment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a hybrid work environment.
