Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to join our team at Traditions Behavioral Health. As a Forensic Psychologist, you will conduct diagnostic evaluations of inmates in lock-up settings to determine clients' post-release level of care needs and mental health needs while in custody. You will also assess diversion suitability and competency to stand trial, provide updates to the court, and present in court for necessary hearings.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct diagnostic evaluations of inmates in lock-up settings
- Assess diversion suitability and competency to stand trial
- Provide updates to the court and present in court for necessary hearings
- Collaborate with treatment providers and court officers to facilitate realistic understanding of treatment possibilities
- Develop care plans that take into consideration legal stipulations
- Evaluate client response to treatment and modify treatment strategies as needed
- Utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including psychotherapy and behavior modification
- Master's or doctoral degree in psychology or a related field
- Experience working in forensic psychology or a related field
- Strong knowledge of legal standards and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- $150, $165,000.00 Annually for Adult Full-Time (40-hours per week) W-2 Employees
