Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at Medical City Dallas. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient-centered respiratory care to pediatric patients in accordance with departmental standards and state regulations.

Responsibilities

">
  • You will perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
  • You will administer oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • You will assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation as needed.
  • You will monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify healthcare providers of any unintended responses.
  • You will assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.

Qualifications

">
  • You must have Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • You should be a State Registered Respiratory Therapist or State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician.
  • RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP) or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) certifications are also accepted.

A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, is offered for this position. As a PRN status employee, you will have the opportunity to work a variety of shifts and float to other facilities as needed.
