Position Summary

Key Responsibilities:

The primary role involves securing finished products to railcars to facilitate offsite shipping.

Work Environment: Predominantly outdoor (90%) with some indoor tasks (10%).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to reach, squat, bend from the trunk, and carry various objects.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying supplies of different sizes and weights.
  • Must be able to climb onto railcars approximately 3 feet high on uneven surfaces.
  • Proficient in pushing and pulling materials of various dimensions.
  • Skilled in using touch and impact wrenches.
  • Ability to swing an 8 lb. sledgehammer.

Vision Requirements: Normal vision (correctable).

Personal Protective Equipment:

Mandatory: Steel-toe boots with metatarsal protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, harness, lockout lock with lockout board, and hard hats when working outside.

Physical Demand Levels of Work (PDL): Medium

Involves lifting/force exertion up to 35 lbs.

Potential Job Titles: May perform duties under various titles as needed.

Work Schedule:

12-hour rotating shifts with overtime as required.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a high school level.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Competence in coordinating multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to set a positive example.
  • Capability to instruct and mentor others.
  • Self-motivated individual.
  • Experience operating impact wrenches.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance on torches as necessary.
