Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler at Fairbanks Scales Inc.
OverviewAs an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, your primary responsibility will be to integrate electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and final products, perform testing, and manage packaging tasks. You will support the Scale Mechanic Utility A in the setup, assembly, disassembly, and repair of electro-mechanical components to fulfill Fairbanks and customer standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints or adhere to verbal/written guidelines to identify the correct components and arrangement of unassembled parts for the manufacturing and assembly of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, final products, scales, and other items.
- Operate efficiently and safely to achieve daily production targets.
- Accurately complete necessary documentation.
- Conduct pass/fail assessments and package instruments.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
- Ensure that production components, tools, and documentation are properly stored and maintained.
- Be capable of executing tasks from lower labor grade job descriptions.
- Experience as an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, completion of Fairbanks Scales Basic Electronics training, or equivalent assembly experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to establish and maintain positive professional relationships.
- Factory setting with moderate noise levels.
- Regular weekday schedule.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in manufacturing areas.
- Good close vision and focus are necessary.
- Frequent communication, along with sitting, standing, bending, and walking.
- Proficient wrist, hand, and finger movements for typing and computer tasks.
- Strong finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination for office equipment operations.
- Regular attendance is critical for this position.
