Position Overview:

The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive support to clients through virtual communication and in-person engagements. The HRG collaborates with Human Resources Account Managers (HRAM) and clients to offer HR assistance, follow up on service plans, and evaluate the organizational requirements of key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as an HR advisor to clients, offering insights and support on employee relations matters such as performance evaluations, improvement strategies, investigations, and terminations, while ensuring adherence to HR best practices to mitigate organizational risks.
  • Assist clients in diagnosing issues, exploring potential solutions, and implementing agreed-upon strategies effectively.
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize data from various sources to inform decision-making.
  • Provide guidance on compliance with leave regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and state-specific laws, while keeping clients updated on legislative changes to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Support clients in formulating company policies and utilizing HR vendor platforms, including background checks, job postings, applicant tracking systems, salary surveys, learning management systems, and onboarding processes.
  • Create compliant employee handbooks using our handbook development tool.
  • Facilitate training sessions on systems and various HR-related subjects.
  • Collaborate in managing the FMLA, ADA, and state/local leave processes, from initial notifications to return-to-work procedures, including paperwork management, eligibility assessments, leave designations, medical certification requests, and tracking of intermittent or reduced schedule leaves.
  • Engage with internal and external users of PrismHR to understand their needs and identify actionable solutions.
  • Deliver technical support to clients, manage employment verifications, assist with labor law postings, provide compensation reports, handle password resets, and coordinate with relevant teams for certificate of insurance requests.
  • Assist the Client Services team with Salesforce case management and resolution.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
  • Enhance job knowledge through participation in educational opportunities, reading industry publications, maintaining professional networks, and engaging in professional organizations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Familiarity with state and federal laws, regulations, and HR management practices.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with expertise in administering leave policies and other legal protections under FMLA, ADA, and relevant laws.
  • Experience in researching HR laws and resources from state websites and evaluating the credibility of materials.
  • High learning agility and adaptability in new environments.
  • Strong dedication to exceptional customer service, with excellent planning, communication (both written and verbal), and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • A quiet, professional home office setup (if remote) and willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Attributes:

The following qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory:
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certifications.
  • Specialized training in employee relations, learning and development, payroll, leave management, employee benefits, and workers' compensation.
  • Experience in public speaking or conducting group training sessions, whether in-person or via webinars.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based applications including HRIS, CRM, ATS, Talent Management, Performance Management, Document Management (e.g., SharePoint, Dropbox, Drive), social media platforms, and communication tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom), Salesforce.
  • Experience with Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs).
  • A background in client services or account management.
Work Environment:

This position is hybrid, with a preference for candidates located in South Florida, though remote candidates from the Eastern Time Zone will also be considered.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base salary range of $65,000 - $70,000, based on experience.
