PRIMARY ROLE:


The primary responsibility of this position is to provide direct treatment to a designated caseload of patients struggling with alcohol or other substance use disorders.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


- Conduct group therapy sessions for assigned patients.
- Offer individual and family counseling services.
- Complete assessments and manage the admission process.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including regular reviews.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services rendered.
- Liaise with referral sources, including Employee Assistance Programs and the Criminal Justice system.
- Generate and distribute Referral Progress Reports.
- Participate in weekly case conferences for patient treatment reviews.
- Attend regular supervision and staff meetings.
- Ensure compliance with Seafield's policies and federal regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Facilitate patient discharge and transitional planning, including necessary referrals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.


COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in Assessment & Referral
- Skilled in Treatment Planning and Review
- Experienced in Group, Individual, and Family Counseling
- Capable of Didactic Presentations
- Competent in Documentation and Crisis Intervention
- Knowledgeable in Age-Specific Clinical Skills for Adolescents and Geriatrics
- Familiar with Medication Assisted Treatment

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a CASAC certification or be CASAC eligible, or hold a Bachelor’s degree with a solid understanding of substance use disorders.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


The physical requirements outlined here represent the essential functions necessary for successful job performance.


While fulfilling this role, the employee must be able to communicate effectively and possess the ability to see clearly at various distances and adjust focus as needed.


This position is primarily sedentary, involving extended periods of sitting, with occasional walking and standing required.


Proficiency in using standard office equipment, including computers, calculators, copiers, fax machines, scanners, and telephones, is essential.
