Job Title: Radiology Technologist

UNC Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Carrboro, North Carolina.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide diagnostic imaging services in our radiology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines
  • Prepare patients for exams, including explaining procedures and positioning patients
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including disposing of hazardous materials and cleaning equipment
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment and report any issues to management
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
