Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and ensure their overall well-being.
  • Treatment Setup and Operation: Set up and operate hemodialysis machines, ensuring accurate and timely treatment delivery.
  • Infection Control and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
  • Documentation and Communication: Accurately document patient information, vital signs, and treatment parameters, and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
  • Continuous Quality Improvement: Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities, contributing to the development of best practices and patient-centered care.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in patient care or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
